Chip Herr Joins Team i-Moto at VIR to Challenge for 2011 Manufacturers Championship

May 5, 2011 – CORAL SPRINGS, FL –Team i-MOTO Mazda is very happy to announce the signing of a very talented Chip Herr to co-drive with team owner/driver Glenn Bocchino.

Chip and Glenn will pilot the team’s brand new #30 Mazdaspeed 3 to contest for the drivers and manufacturers championship in the Continental Cup ST Class of the Grand Am series for 2011. Team principle Glenn Bocchino states “I am very excited to co-drive with Chip, when the opportunity presented itself; we wasted no time to get him signed. Chip a former Mazda factory driver has a long history of success in front wheel driver touring car racing. Adding Chip as a team driver along side Pierre Kleinubing, Taylor Hacquard , Mark Pombo and Mat Pombo, gives i-MOTO the strongest three car driver line up in the series.

Chip comments, “I am really excited to team up with I-Moto for a few reasons. Of course being in the best brand there is MAZDA, teaming up with good friends that I have raced against and respect very much and also getting back into the ultra competitive Grand Am Series! This is an awesome opportunity to work with Glenn and I-Moto to help get these Mazdaspeed3’s fighting for the top step! I-Moto is a very respected team and I am looking forward to bringing my knowledge and helping in all the best ways I can and work with my fellow teammates!”

• Roar Racing/Mazda RX8/Grand-Am Koni Challenge ST
• Recorded quickest practice time at Lime Rock Park out of 54 cars
