Nick Wittmer Joins Team i-Moto at Mid Ohio Series Season Finale

August 22, 2011 – CORAL SPRINGS, FL –Team i-MOTO Mazda is very happy to announce that former i-MOTO team driver and 2009 & 2010 Canadian Touring Car Champion will co-drive with team owner/driver Glenn Bocchino. Nick and Glenn will pilot the team’s #30 Mazdaspeed 3 to contest for the manufacturer’s championship in the Continental Cup ST Class of the Grand Am series finale. Nick drove for i-MOTO Racing the entire 2007-2008 season, which included winning the Fresh From Florida 200 at Daytona International Speedway season with team owner Glenn Bocchino. 


Team principle Glenn Bocchino states “I am very excited to co-drive with Nick again. Nick’s driving skills always amazes me; it is fun to watch him drive. He does things with the car that very few drivers have the nerve to do! Mid-Ohio is going to be entertaining for the fans that’s for sure!


Nick comments, “I’m really excited about returning to i-MOTO and driving with Glenn. Hopefully, we can repeat our win from Daytona and our podium in Mid-Ohio in 2008. I am confident that we will do extremely well.”

Nick was also awarded the prestigious Gilles Villeneuve trophy by the Federation Auto Sport Quebec and was voted Canadian Road Racer of the Year by his peers through Inside Track News.
