i-MOTO Adds Kenton Koch to Road America Driver Lineup

i-MOTO has a track record for winning and for developing talent.  The 2012 ST Championship winning team is ready for another debut driver; Kenton Koch.

Coming up on August 7th, Kenton Koch will make his Continental Tire ST debut with the i-MOTO Racing Team in the #32 Mazdaspeed 3, co-driving with Taylor Hacquard.

Kenton noted that, It’s been a long journey to this point.  I’ve been racing for 11 years now with aspirations of racing in the Grand-Am series. Now I’ll have the chance to compete against the best drivers in the world, in a competitive car, at a track that I know and love.  All of it would not be possible without the Skip Barber Racing School and Mazda. I would also like to thank my parents, MiataTurbo.net, Camp Del Corazon, Hookit.com, So-Cal Sprinters Kart Club, and everyone else who helped me to get to this point.

Glenn Bocchino remarked that, We tested Kenton last week and the crew was impressed.  The car was completely new to him and he had very limited front wheel drive experience.  He showed that he can adapt to conditions very quickly.

John Doonan, Mazda Motorsports Director summed it up; We love it when our top teams promote from within the Mazda family.  The talent pool from within the Mazda club racing world, the Skip Barber Racing School , and our own MX-5 Cup is second to none.
